CLEVELAND - The Salvation Army wants to help make the holidays brighter for local families.
Registration is now under way for Christmas Assistance. Eligible families with children 12 years of age and younger can receive toys, a grocery store gift card for holiday food and "Coats for Kids".
Registration runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m to 3.p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 at the following Salvation Army locations:
Hough Corps - 6000 Hough Ave.
Miles Park Corps - 4139 East 93rd St.
Ohio City Corps - 4402 Clark Ave.
Superior Corps - 9000 Superior Ave.
Temple Corps - 17625 Grovewood Ave.
West Park Corps - 12645 Lorain Ave.
To register, applicants must bring the following:
- Drivers License or Photo I.D.
- Birth Certificate or current Medical Benefit Card for each child (0 -12 year olds)
- Proof of Income
