NORTH RANDALL, Ohio - The opening of the new racino slated for Thistledown race track in North Randall may still be a few months away, but Rock Ohio Caesars is beginning the process of filling the positions of those needed to run a slots-only casino.

Caesars website lists the openings for the jobs, which fall into 37 different job titles in security, food and beverage, finance, marketing and more at http://bit.ly/hsPhV6

Last year, Rock Ohio Caesars announced it would invest $88 million to transform the 88-year-old track into a racino. The gambling operation set to open this spring would have 1,150 video lottery terminals or electronic slots. The company also owns and operates the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland.

Work began last summer to transform the main floor of the track’s grandstand into a 57,000-square-foot gaming space. The track will also include a 60-seat restaurant, two food court offerings and a lounge. This is in addition to the current lounge and 500-seat restaurant overlooking the racetrack, which is being updated.

The track currently employs 200 people May through November during the live racing season, which will resume April 19.
