CLEVELAND - A duplex collapsed after catching fire just after 3 a.m. Thursday in East Cleveland on the corner of East 125th Street and Elberon Avenue.
According to East Cleveland firefighters, only one woman was inside the upstairs unit when the fire started and was able to escape uninjured.
East Cleveland firefighters said the fire likely started in the downstairs unit that had just recently been vacated by the tenant.
The Cleveland Department was also called to the scene to assist and because the duplex in on the border of East Cleveland and Cleveland.
