CLEVELAND - Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald will deliver the annual State of the County address Tuesday.

This is the mid-point of FitzGerald's administration.

"There's real progress to report in three areas," FitzGerald said during a preview of the speech. "Number one is we've made a lot of progress on our budget and being more efficient and we're actually going to be giving money back to local communities and school districts which is the first time the county had done that in decades."

FitzGerald said the second area of progress is with public safety. He said there will be a big initiative to make 911 more efficient and effective. He added the third area of progress deals with the Medical Mart and job creation.

FitzGerald will give his third State of the County address at the Renaissance Hotel in Cleveland at 24 Public Square. The event will begin at noon and is hosted by the City Club of Cleveland.
