CLEVELAND - In March 2006, Charlie Lustman went to the dentist and ended up finding out he had a lump on his jaw.

When it was all said and done, he had part of his upper jaw removed because of a form of cancer called osteosarcoma.

Lustman was fitted with a prosthetic, which looks like a giant retainer, giving him the ability to eat, talk, and most importantly sing. Instead of being a victim, he fought back. His music was his message.

Lustman was always a singer and once he was cancer-free, he started writing songs about his struggle.

He sings all over the world, but on Wednesday, he stopped by the Taussig Cancer Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. This is where Lustman does his best work, telling his story and strumming his guitar, giving hope and inspiration to those who are battling cancer.

His positive attitude and big smile are infectious.  If you would like to follow Lustman, go to www.mademenuclear.com/
