CLEVELAND - Thursday night up until early Friday morning, crews with Downtown Cleveland Alliance installed 40 cement planters along East 9th and East 14th Street.
Each of the planters weigh 2,000 pounds and workers had to use a forklift to put them in place on the sidewalks.
More than 100 planters are already installed along Euclid Avenue and Perk Plaza was recently renovated.
According to Downtown Cleveland Alliance, the changes are being done to make the city more beautiful.
The Rotary Club of Cleveland funded this project.
The Euclid Avenue Planters are sponsored by Playhouse Square.
