AUSTINBURG, Ohio - A large oak tree came crashing down onto a pickup truck Saturday afternoon in Ashtabula County.
It happened at a farm on State Route 307 in Austinburg.
The tree was blown over during a brief storm that brought hail, thunder, lightning and a downpour of rain to the area, said the NewsChannel5 viewer.
The driver of the truck was shaken up, but not injured. He said if he had been driving just a bit slower, the tree may have landed on the cab and crushed him, rather than across the pickup bed.
