ASHTABULA - A student found with a stick of dynamite at Ashtabula County Vocational School (A-TECH) last week is set to make a court appearance.
Police were contacted about the case and referred it to the prosecutor's office for review of charges.
The student will soon be in Ashtabula County Juvenile Court, but an exact date is not yet known.
The 4-inch stick of dynamite was found by the school's principal on Nov. 9.
The student's name has not been released, but school officials said he was expelled for 10 days but faces expulsion for the rest of the year.
The father of the teen is under investigation as officials try to determine how the student got his hands on the dynamite. Authorities are concerned there could be more at the student's home.
