AUSTINBURG TOWNSHIP, Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened around 9:30 Saturday night.

Troopers said the wreck happened on Cork Cold Springs Road, just west of Tote Road, in Austinburg Township.

According to authorities, Richard White, 53, from Austinburg, was driving his 2003 Yamaha eastbound on Cork Cold Springs Road when he went left of center, veered off the road and flipped.

White was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said White was not wearing a helmet and was not carrying a passenger.

The crash remains under investigation. It's not yet known if alcohol, drugs, or a medical issue played a factor in the wreck.
