ASHTABULA, Ohio - A man accused of walking into an Ashtabula church and shooting his father to death following an Easter service appeared in court Tuesday morning.
Reshad Riddle, 25, received a $1 million bond in a hearing in Ashtabula Municipal Court.
Police say Reshad Riddle entered the Hiawatha Church of God in Christ Sunday afternoon and killed his 52-year-old father, Richard Riddle with a single shot to the head.
Riddle has been charged with aggravated murder, having weapons under disability and carrying a concealed weapon.
The Associated Press reports that Riddle was yelling about God and Allah after the killing and has a long crime record dating back to 2006.
Riddle is scheduled to next appear in court for a preliminary hearing on April 9 at 9 a.m.
