ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio - The owner of a business inside Ashtabula Towne Square Mall, along with one of his employees, were busted for the sale of synthetic drugs, the attorney general’s office said.

Ashtabula County authorities said they arrested the two people after executing a search warrant at Blue Dragon Leather.

They said the store had sold synthetic marijuana, packaged as potpourri, sold under the names "Scooby Snax," "Caution," and "Down2Earth."

Local authorities began investigating Blue Dragon Leather after receiving several complaints from the community.

The Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section filed a civil lawsuit against those at Blue Dragon Leather, alleging that the defendants engaged in “unfair, deceptive, and unconscionable acts” by selling illegal drugs as legal products.

They also filed a nuisance abatement in an attempt to close the business for a year.
