ASHLAND COUNTY, Ohio - The reward for information about missing Ashland County mom 33-year-old Lynn Jackenheimer has grown to $8,000.
Friends and family of Jackenheimer hope the reward money is enough to get somebody to come forward with information.
"Somebody has to know something, he has to be talking to somebody," said Heather Lewis, a friend of Jackenheimer.
Friends of Jackenheimer and local businesses started the reward on Monday evening and it has grown substantially since then.
Purple ribbons dot Ashland streets in an attempt to bring attention to the missing mother of two. Friends are also selling T-shirts for $10 with the money benefiting her family. The T-shirts will be sold starting Wednesday evening.
Jackenheimer, her ex-boyfriend, 27-year-old Nate Summerfield, the couple's 3-year-old son and Jackenheimer's 13-year-old daughter went on a vacation to North Carolina. Summerfield and the two children returned to Ashland County on Sunday. Jackenheimer, police said, did not.
Police became involved after Summerfield's brother called police to say Summerfield told him he strangled the woman.
