ASHLAND, Ohio - Troopers are investigating a crash on State Route 511 in Montgomery Township in which an Ashland County man driving a motorcycle suffered serious injuries.
It happened Wednesday at 6:05 p.m. when a 38-year-old man driving a 2013 Ford Explorer southbound on SR 511 failed to yield the right of way while attempting to turn into a driveway and was struck on the side by a 1983 Honda Goldwing motorcycle going northbound.
The 47-year-old driver of the motorcycle was seriously hurt and flown to MetroHealth Medical Center where he is in critical condition. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to troopers.
The driver of the car had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
