CLEVELAND - I can sum up this french bulldog in one word: adorable. Roxy is the cute little puppy that belongs to our 11 o'clock producer Julie. She was a birthday gift from her husband Brian, but I have to say that Brian is probably more excited about having Roxy around than Julie is.
Brian did serious research on how to take care of a new puppy. He shopped for all the right products and made sure Roxy's accommodations were not only comfortable, but stylish as well. Born on Nov. 30, 2010, in Columbus, this 5 month-old bundle of joy has a great personality.
Roxy is already showing signs of being a social butterfly. She loves to meet new people and gives lots of kisses. Julie says her little girl is good snuggle buddy. Roxy loves to cuddle on the couch with her favorite blankets and watch Animal Planet on television. The only thing that takes her out of her comfort zone is when she hears a dog bark on television. Then she perks up as if to say, "this house is only big enough for one puppy, and I'm it!"
Puppies are full of energy and Roxy is no exception. She loves to play fetch with her little bear. Her parents get a kick out of watching her play. But Roxy also likes a challenge, so Brian has given her a new goal of learning how to ring a bell to go do her "business" outside. Good luck Brian!
Julie tells me that she's also detected a bit of diva in Roxy. After eating a nice bowl of delicious Puppy Chow, Roxy gets all dolled up in her pink jacket. She has no problem strutting around the house looking pretty in pink. Oh yes, we have a fashionista on our hands in Miss Roxy.
The joy she brings to Julie and Brian is infectious. We look forward to hearing Roxy stories and seeing new pictures each week. The ears kill me! Too cute, just way too cute.
I'll do an update on Roxy in a few months to see how she's grown.
If you have a dog or cat, send me their pictures with a few words about their personality. My e-mail address is dharris@newsnet5.com
I look forward to hearing from you!
