Who said cats and dogs don't get along? Caren wrote to me and said her canine and feline pair are inseparable. Let's start with the dog, Max, who is a 15-year-old dachshund who loves to eat toast in the morning. When he's not eating you'll find him napping on the sofa with his special blankie. Isn't that cute!

His partner in crime is Thome J. Name look familiar? He's named after former Indians player Jim Thome. Thome J is a 13 year-old norwegian forest cat that loves to sit in Caren's husband's lunch box.

These two live in Alliance, Ohio and according to Caren they are the best pets you could ask for. She says the two have been together since 1998 and the friendship is still going strong.

Some might call them an unusual pair, but Max and Thome J will be friends for life.

If you have a pet story and pictures you 'd like to share, send them to dharris@newsnet5.com
