Coroner: No sign of trauma for bartender's daughter

MENTOR, Ohio - The daughter of the Mentor-on-the-Lake bartender who was murdered in November was found dead inside her home on Saturday.

According to the Lake County Coroner, Erica McSween was found dead in her Mentor home Saturday evening, just before 10:30.

McSween was deceased when authorities arrived at the house. Erica McSween is the daughter of Ann McSween, the Mentor-on-the-Lake bartender who was murdered in November.

The Lake County coroner said there were no obvious signs of trauma, but they are still waiting for the results of the toxicology reports. That could take two to three weeks.

Ann McSween was found killed outside Mario's Lakeway Lounge the day after Thanksgiving. McSween had been bartending at Mario's Thanksgiving night.

The 49-year-old woman was found stabbed, strangled and beaten to death. She was found in a wooded area with multiple stab wounds, including one on her neck.

According to Mario Cacaic, the owner of Mario’s, the video surveillance system was not working on the night of the murder. Cacaic said that someone had climbed on the building’s roof to cut the cable and phone lines.

Mentor-on-the-Lake police continue to investigate the murder of Ann McSween.
