ELYRIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Stephanie Watt is on a mission; the kind of mission that only a mother can truly understand.
One week ago, Watt's 19-year-old son, Jordan Ault, vanished without a trace.
Jordan was riding home from a friend's house with his girlfriend in the early morning hours on Saturday April 10 when he asked her to pull over the car in the area of Rush Street and Lake Avenue. According to his girlfriend, Jordan got out of the car and took off running down Rush Street.
He hasn't been seen since.
Jordan's mom was able to reach him on his cell phone shortly after he disappeared. She pleaded with him to come home, but his phone cut out during their conversation.
Watt said that Jordan did not sound angry or depressed, but would not say why he was running or where he was going.
Watt said that Jordan has never run off before and that he never went for long periods of time without calling her.
"I know that a lot of people say this, but Jordan and I are very close," said Watt.
Watt has been searching the area with family, friends and others who have come out to help them this week. She has searched every day since her son went missing, but so far her searches have come up empty.
The Lorain County Sheriffs Department and the Elyria Police Department are also investigating Jordan's disappearance. Watt said police have talked to some of Jordan's friends, but so far, they have not been able to develop any definitive leads.
Watt said that she just wants her son to come home. She is holding out hope that he is okay and said that right now no news has been good news.
Jordan's family has posted a Facebook page, called "Find Jordan Ault", in an effort to get the word out about his disappearance and maybe gain some clues.
Jordan is about 6 foot, 150 pounds and has brownish blonde hair. He has tattoos of a black and red nautical star on his chest and memorial skulls on his upper left arm.
He was wearing a black tank top, dark jeans, a tan army-type jacket and bright yellow and black tennis shoes.
He was last seen near the area of Rush Street and Lake Avenue in Elyria.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Lorain County Sheriff at 440-329-3709 or the Elyria Police Department at 440-323-1926.
