MENTOR, Ohio - Katie Spotz is reaching out on her Facebook page for friends to help find her bike.

Spotz set a world record in March as the youngest person to ever to complete a solo journey across the Atlantic Ocean.

On Monday, Spotz had nearly $10,000 of property stolen including her vehicle, sports gear and road bike.

The Mentor native is looking for help locating her bike, a Giant OCR 2. It is black and blue with a 54 inch frame.

Spotz says the bike is very important to her, not only for her love of biking, but the journey the bike has been on.

Her solo trip across the Atlantic isn’t the only long journey Spotz has been on. She rode her stolen bike on a 3,300 mile journey across American in memory of her grandmother, who died from lung disease.

She is looking for any help she can get in tracking down her stolen property. She is also searching for the oars she used to row across the Atlantic which were also taken.

If you have any information on Katie’s stolen bike, please contact her on her Facebook page here .
