Skating, dance stars coming to Serpentini Arena at Winterhurst …

CLEVELAND - If you’re looking for a fun weekend of entertainment for your family, but don’t want to spend a fortune, look no further than your local Northeast Ohio ice arenas.
There are plenty of opportunities to see some great live skating shows—many for less than the cost of a movie.
Spring is a great time to get out and see some of the area’s best local talent on the ice and this year there are several options whether you live East, West or South.
Here’s a look at what’s happening on the ice this month in your area:
Mentor
WHAT: Parker Pennington Productions presents: “Skate Dance Dream” featuring figure skaters Ross Miner (2-Time U.S. National Bronze medalist and World Team member); Lynn Kriengkrairut & Logan Giulietti-Schmitt (U.S. National Pewter medalist in ice dancing); Sean Rabbitt (U.S. National Senior Men’s competitor and Producer of Skater’s Care) and dancer Comfort Fedoke (Season 7 & 8 All Star and Season 4, top 8 finalist from Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance).
WHEN: Saturday April 28 at 7 p.m.

Brooklyn
WHAT: The city of Brooklyn presents: “Spring Swizzle 2012” –The city’s biennial ice exhibition showcases top level competitive skaters as well as skaters from the Brooklyn Figure Skating Club and the Brooklyn Blades on Ice Learn-to-Skate Program in a variety of group and solo performances set to today’s popular songs.
WHEN: Saturday April 28 at 7 p.m.

Shaker Heights
WHAT: The Cleveland Skating Club presents its 75th Anniversary Show “Supernova” including guest stars Adam Rippon, Holly Moore and Daniel Klaber, Hannah Rosinski and Jacob Jaffe, Phillippe Candeloro and a special appearance on Saturday night by Scott Hamilton.
WHEN: Friday May 4 and Saturday May 5 at 7 p.m.
WHERE: Cleveland Skating Club, 2500 Kemper Road, Shaker Heights

Wooster
WHAT: The Wooster Figure Skating Club presents “An Afternoon at the Movies” with music from movie soundtracks from the 1930s to present. The show will feature performances by members of the Wooster Figure Skating Club, The Alice Noble Ice Arena, the Woo Skate Club After-School Program and the Mentor Ice Diamonds synchronized skating teams.
WHEN: Sunday May 6 at 1:30 p.m.

Cleveland Heights
WHAT: The Pavilion Skating Club of Cleveland Heights presents a Skate-A-Thon Exhibition featuring three National Medalist ice dance teams, the show will highlight the community's best ice skating, with performances by skaters of all ages from tots to adults. Show will feature national medalists Holly Moore and Daniel Klaber, Hannah Rosinski and Jacob Jaffe and Kimberly Berkovich and Micah Jaffe.
