AKRON, Ohio - A Sharon Township woman accused of pretending to be a veterinarian has been indicted on six additional charges.

A Summit County grand jury indicted Brandi Tomko, 35, on two felony and four misdemeanor counts. The charges stem from pet owners who complained to police after watching our original story about Tomko on NewsChannel5 in April.

The two felony charges include one count of assaulting or harassing an assistance dog. Disabled Persian Gulf war veteran Bob McGee blames Tomko for his dog Allie's death. Allie died from diabetes after being treated by Tomko last year.

Tomko is already facing a 33-count indictment for treating and operating on animals at C&D Animal Hospital in Akron. Akron police said Tomko worked as an office manager at the animal hospital and began treating pets after the hospital's owner moved and left Tomko in charge of the business.

Tomko is currently out on bond.

She is scheduled to appear in Summit County court on Monday, May 14 for a hearing to address the additional charges.
