1. Another campaign stop
Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will speak at Cleveland State University on Wednesday. Doors open at noon and the Wisconsin Representative is expected to address the economy and upward mobility. On Thursday, President Barack Obama will make a quick stop at Burke Lakefront Airport.

2. RTA uppercut driver
Artis Hughes, the RTA bus driver caught on video punching a rider, is scheduled to have a disciplinary hearing at 10 a.m. Wednesday. He is currently suspended from his job and facing assault charges.

3. Student suspended over hair
A 17-year-old Canton South High School student was suspended for violating the school’s dress code because his hair is too long. The teen is attempting to grow his hair to 10 inches so he can donate it to the charity Locks of Love.

4. Comparing the iPad mini with its rivals
The device, with many of the same features as a regular iPad, has a bigger screen but costs more than a Nook or a Kindle Fire.

5. Wall Street plunge suggests economy's fragility
