KELLEYS ISLAND, Ohio - A police officer on Kelleys Island confirmed there were four businesses on fire Thursday afternoon.
The fire happened on Division Street, as the volunteer fire department worked to control the blaze.
An officer told NewsChannel5 that there are only six to eight firefighters on the island, who were exhausted and fatigued from battling the blaze for about two hours. Mutual aid was brought in from Erie County to help and fire trucks were even brought over on the ferry.
No injuries have been reported.
A Twitter user, Bob Woodring (@BWood2214), posted a photo aroun 3:20 p.m. of the fire.
