EUCLID, Ohio - A local family is desperate to find their missing 18-year-old son.

Demontailus Clarke graduated from Euclid High School in the spring and was registering for classes at Cuyahoga County Community College a week ago. That was last time anyone saw him.

His family handed out flyers at Tri-C’s Cleveland Campus on Thursday. Clarke went to the campus last Thursday with his sister and a friend to register for classes. They split up and when it was time to leave, Clarke was no where to be found.

Though 18, police said, Clark has the mentality of a 14-year-old. Clarke’s loved ones immediately went to campus police and begged them to review video from security cameras. Their pleas fell on deaf ears.

So they went to Cleveland police for help, who told them the case was out of their jurisdiction since Clarke lived in Euclid.

Two days after Clarke’s disappearance, Euclid police began their investigation, requesting surveillance video that might help them find the missing the 18-year-old, but it was too late. The video is automatically erased after 72 hours.

Clarke also has asthma and his family said he does not have his medication with him.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the Euclid Police Department.
