CLEVELAND - Bond was issued Wednesday morning for a man accused of causing a house explosion in Cleveland last month.
Police charged 57-year-old William Calderwood with aggravated arson in connection with the blast that leveled his home on W. 83rd Street and damaged 50 others on January 25. On the night of the explosion, Calderwood told NewsChannel5 that he was a victim -- just like everyone else.
During the arraignment, Calderwood pleaded not guilty and the judge issued a $250,000 bond.
Calderwood is in jail, so the hearing was conducted via video conference. His pre-trial hearing has been set for February 22 at 9 a.m.
