Cool down with free goodies for the start of summer

CLEVELAND - With the start of summer Wednesday and the heat sweeping through northeast Ohio, it’s the perfect time for a cold treat.

Two local businesses are having free giveaways this week that will help you beat the heat.

Zoup! will offer a free eight-ounce cup of either gazpacho or pumpkin pie bisque chilled soup Wednesday.

You can get the soup at Zoup! locations in the Cleveland-area and North Canton.

If you need a cold kick Thursday, Bruegger’s Bagels is hosting its inaugural Free Iced Coffee Day.

To get the free iced coffee, you have to like Bruegger’s Facebook page and download a coupon.

With the coupon, you are entitled to a free 16-ounce iced coffee from open until 4 p.m.

Members of Bruegger’s E-Club are also eligible for the giveaway.

During the event at Bruegger's, canisters will be located at the registers where patrons can donate to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
