PARIS TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A 26-year-old construction worker was killed on Thursday afternoon while removing guardrail posts in Paris Township.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Kevin R. Meyer, 26, of Grove City was working with Lake Erie Construction Company removing guardrail posts on US 30 when a boom truck touched a live power line, electrocuting Meyer.
Patrol officials said that Meyer was transported by ambulance to Aultman Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:25 p.m.
Lake Erie Construction Company is based out of Norwalk.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating and has notified OSHA of the accident.
