CLEVELAND - Now that the space has been cleared for the Cleveland Medical Mart, the foundation is finally taking shape.
Early Saturday morning, crews started to deliver the 330 truckloads of concrete it will take to cover the 175 to 180-ton rebar cage of reinforcement for the Medical Mart and Convention Center.
The total concrete pour amounts to 3,300 cubic yards.
The concrete pour took place during the early morning hours so it would not impact the already difficult traffic patterns and pedestrian traffic in downtown Cleveland.
