CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are investigating after a woman was found stabbed to death at an apartment building on the city’s east side.

Police said the call came in at about 4:20 a.m. to respond to East 69th Street between Chester and Euclid avenues. Officers and EMS found the victim lying bloodied on the first floor landing of the address, police said.

The 31-year-old woman, Jessica Harrell, was pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary investigation shows she suffered multiple stab wounds.

A 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene, according to police.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the final cause of death.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 216-623-5464.
