CLEVELAND - Vendors are meeting at the West Side Market to discuss how they'll make their living while the market is temporarily closed from a recent fire.
The meeting began at 1 p.m. Following the meeting, newsnet5.com and NewsChannel5 will bring you updates on what was discussed and their plans moving forward.
The West Side Market is closed "until further notice" so officials can investigate the cause the fire and have the property properly cleaned.
Two stands inside the market suffered the most damage: Sebastian's Meats and Foster's Meats.
Luckily, no one was hurt when the blaze broke out Wednesday around 2:20 a.m.
"We're working diligently to get this open and get our facility back online," explained Mike Cox, director of public works. "We have a lot of soot and smoke damage that needs remediated."
A media briefing will take place at the West Side Market at 3 p.m. There, reporters can take a quick walk-through immediately following the news conference to see the damage.
