CLEVELAND - Firefighters in Cleveland battled a fire at a house on the city's east side Friday night.
The fire started at about 9 p.m. on East 81st Street – just off Harvard Avenue.
Firefighters said smoke was showing and there was an active fire when they arrived at the scene. They were able to get the fire under control quickly.
Crews said the house appears to be vacant – and no one was inside at the time.
Firefighters have not yet estimated how much damage there was to the home.
Investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
