CLEVELAND - Police have arrested a 23-year-old after he allegedly stabbed his 18-year-old brother to death following a dispute early Thursday morning.
According to Cleveland Police, a man was stabbed around 2:26 a.m. on the 3400 block of East 121st Street. Police said their initial investigation shows the two brothers were involved in a verbal dispute which got physical and resulted in the 23-year-old stabbing the 18-year-old in the chest.
The victim was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center where he died from injuries.
The 23-year-old suspect was arrested and taken to the Central Prison Unit where he is awaiting charges, according to police.
The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit, along with the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office responded to the scene and hospital for investigation.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the final cause of death.
The names of the suspect and the victim have not yet been released.
Police said they will further investigate the incident.
