CLEVELAND - Firefighters were called to two working house fires on the same street on Cleveland’s east side Friday night.
Cleveland fire officials said the two houses are on Durant Avenue, near Lakeview Road.
A NewsChannel5 photographer at the scene said both homes were occupied and the families got out safely.
However, firefighters did have to rescue two dogs from the fire. The one dog had to be resuscitated and rescuers used an oxygen mask to revive it.
The Red Cross was notified to help the displaced families.
