CLEVELAND - Two men have been charged with murder for a fatal shooting that happened on Hecker Avenue Friday morning.
Maurice Golden, 20, of Euclid and O’Neal Crenshaw, 35, of Cleveland were both charged Saturday with Aggravated Murder. They are scheduled to appear in Cleveland Municipal Court Monday, Aug. 20 at 8:30 a.m.
Cleveland police arrested four people in connection with the shooting that left one man dead and another injured. One suspect was released pending further investigation; another remains in jail on unrelated misdemeanor warrants.
The shooting happened Friday just after 4 a.m. Police said two men were walking a dog when they were approached by three people with guns. The three suspects tried to rob the victims and both victims were shot during the robbery attempt.
A 21-year-old man was shot in the chest and died at MetroHealth Medical Center. His identity has not yet been released.
A 22-year-old man was shot in the arm and taken to MetroHealth. There’s no word on his condition at this time.
