CLEVELAND - A man is recovering after being stabbed in the neck Friday night in Public Square. Police were called to West 3rd St. and Superior Avenue around 11:40 p.m for reports of a robbery.
Officers arrived and found the victim with a puncture wound to his neck. The victim told police he was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette. The suspect then pulled out a metal object and stabbed the victim.
Investigators later found the suspect and arrested the 40-year-old man. Officers also recovered a pair of needle nose pliers and entered them into evidence.
The victim was treated at MetroHealth Medical Center for his injury and is expected to be ok.
