CLEVELAND - The Cleveland police SWAT team arrested two men after a store employee was shot during a robbery on the city’s west side.

Two men went into Wireless Wholesale on West 25th Street just after 6 p.m. Friday. Cleveland police said at least one of the men had a gun and shot the store clerk in the head, before taking a few items.

The employee was conscious and talking when he was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, police said.

An anonymous tip led the SWAT unit to a house on Barber Avenue. Officers arrested both suspects and recovered the stolen property, as well as a weapon.

The men are now awaiting charges.
