CLEVELAND - The site of a notorious Cleveland serial killer's house could soon become a memorial.
A group of local architects are designing a memorial for the now-vacant lot. Anthony Sowell was convicted of killing 11 women at the house that stood there between 2007 and 2009.
The Plain Dealer reports that architects from the Cleveland chapter of the American Institute of Architects met with relatives of the victims, residents and community and city leaders Thursday to get their input about the design.
The type, shape and size of the memorial have yet to be determined.
The city demolished Sowell's two-family house in December.
Sowell this week filed a petition to have his convictions overturned and win a new trial.
