CLEVELAND - The new aquarium opening this month in downtown Cleveland is ready for its more fearsome residents.
A tank 150 feet long tank that will house sharks, among other creatures, was filled with 500,000 gallons of water on Wednesday.
The Plain Dealer reports the sharks and their tank-mates are expected to arrive by truck ahead of the Jan. 21 opening of the Greater Cleveland Aquarium.
Visitors will get good views of the tank by passing through it using a windowed walkway resembling a tube.
The aquarium in the city's Flats entertainment district will feature more than 5,000 freshwater and saltwater fish.
