CLEVELAND - Cleveland police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting outside an east side store.
Officers were called to the Urban Food Mart at East 79th Street and Cedar Avenue on Sept. 13, and discovered a man lying on the ground.
The man, 48-year-old Byron Reese, of Cleveland, was shot during a robbery involving three men, police said. He was pronounced dead at the Cleveland Clinic.
Cleveland police said a 22-year-old suspect was taken into custody after the incident. Friday morning, Cleveland detectives and U.S. Marshals arrested another 22-year-old in the case.
The Cleveland man was wanted on an aggravated murder warrant. He was caught without incident on Woodland Avenue and taken to the Cleveland Police Central Prison Unit, where he is awaiting charges.
While police have released the man’s name, it is NewsChannel5 policy not name suspects until charges have been filed.
