CLEVELAND - A retired Cleveland police sergeant charged with aggravated murder appeared in court Friday morning.
Dale Edwards, 60, appeared in Cleveland Municipal Court Friday answering to aggravated murder charges. Court was continued at the defendant's request.
The case was bound over to Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
A preliminary exam was scheduled for Oct. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:55 a.m.
Edwards has handed down a $100,000 cash/surety bond. He bonded out of jail. Edwards is accused in the Oct. 10 fatal shooting of 25-year-old Antoine Graves.
According to police, Edwards was arguing with Graves over unpaid rent.
