CLEVELAND - In just a few months, Cuyahoga County Government will undergo big changes, including the addition of County Executive.
Creating the enviorment that enables the private sector to create jobs. Those are the 11 words that will be one of the most important tasks faced by the person who wins the job of executive.
Those looking to fill the post gathered to discuss economic development in a forum sponsored by Cuyahoga Next Advisors, a network of individuals and organizations working together to increase the regions economic competitiveness.
The switch from a three commissioner form of government to a single county executive means that person becomes the point person when it comes to driving the economy.
The candidates each had 10 minutes to talk about their plans when it comes to reviving the local economy.
Wednesday's forum was held in the Louis Stokes Auditorium at the Cleveland Public Library on Superior Avenue.
The candidates also participated in an online forum with newsnet5.com last week.
