LAKEWOOD, Ohio - One of Northeast Ohio’s most unique and well-known restaurants takes the spotlight on a national TV show, and Northeast Ohioans can share the celebration.

Melt Bar & Grilled will be featured on Monday night’s episode of The Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.”

Melt is known for its gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. Celebrity pastry chef Anne Thornton will tackle popular Melt dish “The Godfather.” The sandwich is piled with three-cheese lasagna, fresh fennel-oregano pasta sheets, spicy red sauce, and provolone on garlic spiked bread.

Melt will hold a premiere party at 8 p.m. Monday at its two locations, 14718 Detroit Ave. in Lakewood, and 13463 Cedar Rd. in Cleveland Heights. The premiere party will feature draft beer for $1 and “The Godfather” sandwich will be the featured selection.

A third Melt locations opens at 6600 Rockside Rd. in Independence on Oct. 7.
