CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are investigating a suspected homicide on the city's east side Monday morning.
Police said dispatch received a call for a man shot in the area of E. 147 Street and Harvard Avenue at approximately 4:30 a.m. At the scene, officers were unable to locate the victim.
After touring the area, officers said they located the victim in the front passenger seat of a green Subaru in the 3800 block of E. 151 Street with a gunshot wound to the chest.
EMS was notified and responded to the scene, where the victim was pronounced dead.
Police said their investigation shows the victim’s sister received a call from a man saying her brother had been shot and she notified police.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 20-year-old Rodney Harris, of Cleveland.
The official cause of death will be determined by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
