CLEVELAND - A Family Dollar store on Cleveland’s east side has been robbed at gunpoint twice in the last few weeks.
The robberies happened on June 25 and June 29 at the store on East 93rd Street. On Tuesday, Cleveland police said they are investigating multiple robberies at Family Dollar locations and released photos from one incident.
According to police reports, both times the men entered the store with something covering their faces and demanded cash out of the register. The suspects also wanted money from the safe, but twice the clerks were unable to open it.
The Family Dollar on St. Clair Avenue was robbed Thursday morning by two men with a handgun. Police said one man wore a blue mask while the other had a shirt over his face. They fled the scene in a gray Honda.
