CLEVELAND - NewsChannel5 meteorologist Jason Nicholas emcees Autism Speaks in Cleveland Sunday morning.
The signature fundraising event brings together hundreds of thousands of participants annually, across the United States and Canada, with a common goal: supporting Autism Speaks.
Powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum, the grassroots fundraising effort not only generates vital funds for autism research, but also raises awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism.
The Autism Walk began at 10 a.m. The one mile walk is a fun-filled, family friendly event and a vital research piece that will lead the foundation to the answers they need for increased research funding to combat the complex disorder.
