CLEVELAND - Northeast Ohio's sports bar chain Winking Lizard opened its newest location Wednesday in downtown Cleveland.
"Winks Bar and Grille," located in the Galleria on East 9th Street, opened its doors for its grand opening at 11 a.m.
The new store is not very far from the company's established "Winking Lizard Tavern" restaurant at Prospect and Huron – but carries a different theme, featuring local fare, beers and wines. No carryout is offered yet -- but all draft beers must either be from Ohio or from states that touch Ohio.
Anyone entering after 5 p.m. must be at least 21 years old or with their parents.
The menu for the new restaurant is not yet available on the Winking Lizard website, but one visitor posted a notable menu item on Twitter.
"New #Winks at Galleria has Burger called "Hangover" w/ Bacon, ham, Hashbrowns, and over easy egg, 2 cheeses on ciabtta roll @beal88," said Christian Heller (@TheHeldawg).
The Winking Lizard operates 14 tavern locations in northeast Ohio and celebrated its 29th anniversary in September.
