CLEVELAND - The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland has announced the names of the pastors who will lead four of the 11 churches reopening in northeast Ohio.

The churches in Akron, Bedford and Cleveland were closed in 2009 as part of the Cleveland diocese reconfiguration plan. Those churches recently won an appeal to the Vatican to reopen.

Here is the list of the church leaders from Bishop Richard Lennon:

- Rev. Daniel J. Reed has been appointed pastor of St. Mary parish in Akron effective Monday, 16 July 2012.

- Rev. Daniel L. Begin has been appointed pastor of St. Mary parish in Bedford effective Monday, 16 July, 2012.

- Rev. James R. Ols has been appointed pastor of St. Patrick parish in Cleveland effective Monday, 16 July 2012.

-Rev. Robert J. Kropac has been appointed pastor of St. Wendelin parish in Cleveland effective Monday, 16 July, 2012.

"Please join me in rejoicing with our brothers and sisters in faith during this blessed moment and pray for the success of these parishes in their mission to bring greater glory to God,” Lennon said, in a news release on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland announced the opening dates for five of the churches. St. Casimir Church and St. John the Baptist will reopen on July 15, St. Barbara will reopen on July 22, St. James will reopen on July 25 and St. Adalbert will reopen on Aug. 12.

The diocese also announced that Rev. Donald H. Dunson is the appointed pastor of St. Vincent DePaul in Elyria. That is effective on July 16.
