CLEVELAND - Cleveland police said a man's body was found on the side of the highway in Cleveland Wednesday morning.
Paramedics were called to the area of Interstate 71 and the Jennings Freeway at 6:18 a.m. for a report of a "man down."
A Cleveland police sergeant told NewsChannel5 a man had passed away in that area.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the man as 58-year-old Darrell Griffiths of Concord Township. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed to determine his cause of death.
There was also a crash reported in the same area, but paramedics said this incident was "not an accident of any kind."
The Ohio Department of Transportation said traffic was backed up in the area.
