CLEVELAND - The man suspected of robbing four area banks struck at a Key Bank in Cleveland on Thursday, the FBI said.
The man with white powder or paint on his face walked into the Key Bank on East 185th Street in Cleveland at about 1:20 p.m. He was wearing a brown jacket that also had paint on it and fled the bank on foot, according to FBI special agent Vicki Anderson.
Last week, what appeared to be the same man robbed the PNC Bank on Lorain Road. Just days before that, he hit the Ohio Savings Bank on Lee Road and the Dollar Bank on Warrensville Center Road. No weapon was seen and no one was injured during these two robberies.
Anyone with information leading to the identification and prosecution of this man could receive a reward. Tips can be called into the Cleveland office of the FBI at 216-522-1400.
