CLEVELAND - Cleveland police arrested a man after he threatened to set a west side apartment on fire early Friday morning.

Around 12:45 a.m. Cleveland police received a call that a man with a gas can threatened to torch an apartment complex along the 3200 block of Archwood Avenue.

Cleveland police and firefighters responded to the scene and determined the arson threat was unsubstantiated.

Police arrested the man, as firefighters cleared the apartment of any fire or smoke.

The incident remains under investigation.
