CLEVELAND - A man was shot and killed on Cleveland’s east side just before 11 p.m. Friday night.
Police are looking for a black man, who may be driving a white Buick Century with the license plate FKD9646.
The victim has been identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office as 20-year-old Darius Lewis.
Police said Lewis was standing with a group of people in the 13400 block of Kelso Avenue when the white Buick pulled up in front of them. The suspect got out of the car and started shooting at Lewis, who began running. The suspect chased Lewis and continued to shoot at him.
Lewis was shot in the chest and collapsed in the 13000 block of Argus Avenue. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
The suspect fled the area in the white Buick Century.
Police believe Lewis and the suspect knew each other.
